I'm done with mental health. And mental illness. Mental neutrality is all that's left for me; the anomalic milieu that is neither healthy nor ill, but only mental. Like the middle curve line of the Yin-Yang.
Mental Health is very interesting. I saw some crazy stuff. I realized how little I, a member of the general public, understand about mental health. You hear about Ponoka and Alberta Hospital, and you think, "That's where the Crazies go". And they do go there, I saw lots of Crazies. But there are also lots of Artists-Formerly-Known-As-Crazies there, and now living in the city. People get fixed there, it's a hospital you know. There is a lot of stigma and stereotypes surrounding mental illnesses, but you don't hear much about the success stories. There's tons of success stories.
But now it's on to class instead of clinical. BYE

Summer Fun!

Today, my rooommate and I went on a Walking Trip (which is like a Road Trip except you walk everywhere), and it was a lot of fun. I took the Bus and the LRT and it was scary. We went to the Street Performers Festival and it was neat, and we ate Sandwiches which were tasty. I took my digital camera so that I could capture all the fun and excitement of our Walking Trip. I've also been working on some editing programs today, so I will work on posting some video clips and photos from the Trip.

Have fun in the sun!

DS Lite

I got a DS Lite, and man is it awesome! New Super Mario Bros is New Super Fun!. Wireless multiplayer with my roommates is incredulous! DS is fun and innovative and makes me excited for the Wii!

Here we are, dusting down the stars

The seventh game in a best-of-seven series in the Stanley Cup Final. You can't take it further than that. The Edmonton Oilers made an audacious attempt to become the first Eighth-seeded team in the NHL to win the Stanley Cup, but were unfortunately not able to beat the Carolina Hurricanes one last time.
That was tough to take.
It hurt to see the Oilers lose the Cup. It hurt bad. And I guess I'm happy for the players and staff of the Hurricanes for getting the ultimate hockey prize, but man I am not happy to see it go to the city of Raleigh, North Carolina. Game seven was about the second or third night in the entire regular and post season that the RBC Center in Raleigh was sold out. People don't care about hockey down there, no more than Edmonton cares about the Cracker Cats (I'm surprised I even knew their name).
Anyways, enough complaining. True, it hurt like multiple bee-stings to the hands and face, but the Oilers fought amazingly and deserve extra-large amounts of praise. They played hard and took on everything that was thrown at them. They beat the best team in the league to start it all off, and they battled through snipers, hot goalies, and even the flu to get to the Final. And even after being down 2-0 and then 3-1, they didn't stop and fought all the way to game 7. It was an outstanding achievment.
There's always next year. Even though sometimes it felt like we got to the Final on a one-in-a-million chance, and it was this year or never, it appears more clearly now that the Finals are over that the Oilers will have an amazing team next year, who will be all the more capable of taking the Cup home to Edmonton.
GO OILERS GO and thanks for an OUTSTANDING season!

Oilers can take the cup!

They did it! They haven't won the Stanley Cup yet, but they did win game 5 and game 6 and now they are on a roll. Oh they are going to take the Cup! In Raleigh tonight at 6:00 Mountain Standard, the Oilers will fight to the death to drink from Uncle Stanley's mug. All I can say is GO OILERS GO!

Go Oilers Go!

Well, today is Game day - Game 5 in the best of 7 series in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Oilers are down 3-1. Things are looking pretty grim. But you know what? With a win tonight, we'll make it back home, where our crowd support and added desperation will get us to game 7, and by then we'll have momentum and we could win the Stanley Cup. Okay, so that seems like a bit of a stretch, but our Oilers are fighters, and they fight all the harder when desperate.

In conclusion, you gotta BELIEVE!

On the Phone?

Here's a post I made over the phone.

Introducing Graeme!

Alas, I have finally given in to the demands of internet-based culture and have started a blog. Hurrah. At long last everyone and anyone can read about my thoughts, feelings, likes/dislikes, things that make me cry, etc... Clearly it's important that everyone makes their thoughts accessible to the entire world via the Internet, so I must oblige.

An album from the past you should dig out: Crash Test Dummies' most known album God Shuffled His Feet.

I should go shovel the walks I guess.
